In this drawing I captured a chill setting of me laying down in my room. What I struggled most with doing this piece is pushing those values like I’m supposed to. One obvious place I was struggling on were the sheets. Or any fabrics in the picture. Also when it comes to lightly shadowing walls and showing were highlights are dominate. Is there any particular technique I can try to pick up on and break myself out of my comfort zone?
I like the concept and the way it's done, but i think you could add more to it since your other concentration pieces have a few more elements so I think you could add to it just to have consistency.
ReplyDeleteI love the muted color scheme in this photograph. And, the highlight on your nose and cheeks is very striking. I would suggest brightening the area around the eyes on your hands to draw more attention to them, or darkening the background a bit to bring more attention to your face. It looks great!
